Trails: The 29 km (17 mile) Banadad Trail is a linear cross-country ski trail linking the upper and central ski networks of the Gunflint Trail. The trail is groomed for classic striding and is rated Easiest to More Difficult. Lodge-to-lodge and yurt-to-yurt trips along the Gunflint can be arranged on your own or with Boundary Country Trekking. Three side trails connect to the main trail: Moose Trail, Lake Crossing Trail and Lace Lake Trail. Poplar Creek Trail links the Banadad to the Central Gunflint ski trails.

Lodging on site: Backcountry huts and yurts can be rented from Boundary Country Trekking who also operate Poplar Creek Guesthouse B&B near the east end of the Banadad Trail. Old Northwood's Lodge (at Mile 32 of the Gunflint Trail) is linked to the trail by Lake Crossing Trail.
Lodging nearby: Several resorts are located on the Gunflint Trail and in Grand Marais. Loon Lake Lodge is at Mile 39.

Location of trails: The Banadad Trail links the Central Gunflint ski tails and Upper Gunflint trails, and is located approximately 29 to 42 miles west of Grand Marais on the Gunflint Trail (Co Rd 12). The east end of the Banadad Trail can be accessed from Lima Grade Road (Forest Road 315) at Mile 29 of the Gunflint Trail.
