Trails: Maplelag, a unique destination resort in west central Minnesota, claims 60 km (36 miles) of trails groomed for cross-country skiing. The trail distances are measured from the lodge so there is probably actually around 30 to 40 km total of trails. Some trails are groomed for skating technique. Full-moon ski tours are scheduled each month.
Trail fees: Adults $10/day, kids (6-14) $5 (winter 2008-9) including cookies and hot drinks

Location of trails: Maplelag Resort is about 18 miles north of Detroit Lakes and approximately 4 hours drive northwest of the Twin Cities. From Detroit Lakes, take Co Hwy 21 (Richwood Rd) north for 12 miles to Co Hwy 34, turn right on 34 and drive 5 miles to Co Rd 110, turn left and go 1.2 miles to Maplelag Road. Check the MN DOT road conditions before driving.

Comments: JUST THE BESTEST!! Hospitality, food, lodging, amenities of hot tub, massage, books, puzzles just could not be better. Hosts(and hostesses) wonderful! Food delicious-choices of snacks and beverages super! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAANo ONE!
