Trails: West Yellowstone's Rendezvous Ski Trails offer 30 km (19 miles) of trails groomed for cross-country skiing (classic and skating). Dependable snow fall at the center makes it an ideal location for early season skiing. The center hosts the annual Yellowstone Ski Festival on the Thanksgiving day weekend and the Yellowstone Rendezvous Ski Marathon and Equinox 24-hour ski challenge, both in March.
There is also a 7 km trail along the river on the north side of town. West Yellowstone is a gateway to many trails in Yellowstone National Park, including those at Old Faithful. Snowcoach tours into Yellowstone with drop-offs for skiing and snowshoeing can be arranged through several companies in West Yellowstone. See the Chamber website for a list.
