Trails: Lone Mountain Ranch, a first-class guest ranch, grooms 85 km (53 miles) of trails for cross-country skiing. The trails are prefessionally groomed nightly for both classic and skating. Approximately 35% of the trails are rated Beginner, 35% Intermediate, and 30% Advanced. Backcountry and telemark tours of Yellowstone Park are available.

Location of trails: Lone Mountain Ranch is near Big Sky resort, about 40 miles south of Bozeman. From Highway 191 at the Big Sky turn-off, follow the access road west for about 4 miles, turn right at the sign for Lone Mountain Ranch, then go 1/2 mile to the ranch. Check the road conditions before driving.
