Trails: In Glacier National Park there are ski routes at six different locations that are suggested for country country skiing. Trails are not marked or groomed. Skiing on frozen lakes and streams can be dangerous and should be avoided. Other backcountry trails in the park may be suitable for skiing but check with the park rangers, consult the Glacier Avalanche Advisory and follow the backcountry safety guidelines before skiing in the backcountry.

Location of trails: The ski trails in Glacier National Park can be accessed from West Glacier, Poleridge, Marias Pass, St Mary and East Glacier. The Going-to-the-Sun Road through the park is closed in winter. Check the road conditions before driving.
