Name of XC Area: Woodbound Inn
Times that I have skied there: Once
I last skied there in: Jan, 2004
Trails that I skied:
My favorite trails:
Trail marking: Fair
Trail grooming: Poor
Rating: 1 star
What I liked: The scenery was nice
What I disliked: The trails were not well enough maintained. Also, I didn't think the layout was very well designed - there were times when a beginner's trail ended, and the only options were intermediate or expert. There was not enough snow on about 80% of the trails, but they did not close any of them or tell me about the lack of snow when I phoned them. Despite the fact that it was less than 15 degrees F out, there were small streams and large puddles that were not frozen over and impossible to go around. Everytime I went through and got my ski wet, I had to stop and try to scrape off the ice that formed.
