Trails: Black River Environmental Improvement Association (BRIEA) grooms about 50 km (30 miles) of trails for cross-country skiing in three separate trail systems: Egypt Road, Skyfields on Jackson Hill and the Black River Canal. Egypt Road has mainly intermediate trails with a few for beginners. Jackson Hill is mostly advanced and intermediate. The canal towpath is fairly flat and runs 13 km (7 miles) south to Pixley Falls State Park.
