Trails: The Adirondack Park Visitor Interpretive Center at Paul Smiths has 10 km (6 miles) of intrepretive trails for cross-country skiing. Some backcountry trails are also available. The Jackrabbit Trail may eventually be extended to Paul Smiths from Saranac Lake. Naturalist-led ski and snowshoe tours are offered.
There are also 6 km (3.5 miles) of ungroomed trails for skiing and snowshoeing at the VIC in Newcomb.

Location of trails: The Adirondack Park Paul Smiths VIC is about 1 mile north of Paul Smiths College on Route 30, and 12 miles north of Saranac Lake. The Newcomb VIC is located in the southern Adirondack Park, 20 miles north of Minerva on Highway 28N.
