What I liked: Get out on the trails or the lake and it's really quite beautiful. This is a real live touring center, like Stowe or Lake Placid. It's not as big and doesn't get as much snow but it's 22 miles away from my suburban Westchester home in Briarcliff. It's just a really well run facility!
What I disliked: The ground is covered with snow and you're asking me to complain?
Comments: Watch out for many speed traps on the Taconic parkway

What I liked: The trails are well groomed, scenery is very nice. Fahnstock is a hidden jewel. It is not very crowded because not very many people know about this ski area. The best part is that it is only about a half hour up the Taconic parkway.
What I disliked: nothing
Comments: The only negative comment that I have is that the restaurant area is quite small.
