Trails: Diamond Lake Resort grooms 14 km (8 miles) of trails for cross-country skiing and there are another 50 miles of backcountry trails. There are four Sno-Parks are nearby with trails for cross-country skiing, though some may be shared with snowmobiles: North Crater Lake, Three Lakes, South Diamond, and Mt. Thielsen. Most are for more advanced skiers. Although Diamond Lake Resort is primarily geared towards snowmobilers, it has special Seniors XC weeks in January and February. Also in February the Southern Oregon Nordic Club hosts the John Day Memorial XC Ski Race. Caution: Avalanche hazard may exist in some areas.
