Trails: Solitude Nordic Center offers 20 km (12 miles) of trails that are groomed for cross-country skiing (classic and skating). Of the eight groomed trails five are rated Easiest and three More Difficult. A yurt reached by skiing or snoshoeing 3/4 of a mile on lantern-lit trails offers gourmet evening meals. There are also some backcountry touring trails. The center is located at the 8,200-foot elevation so there is generally reliable snowfall, 500 inches a year on average.
