Trails: At the Bolton Valley Resort's Nordic Center 35 km (21 miles) of trails are groomed for cross-country skiing. Almost all of the groomed trails are rated Intermediate with the exception of three Easy loops.
There are also more than 50 km of backcountry trails, including a section of the Catamount Trail connecting to the Trapp Family Lodge. All backcountry trails are rated Advanced. The annual Backcountry Challenge Race and Tour starts at the Trapp Family nordic center and ends 17 km later at Bolton Valley.
