Name of XC Area: Wilderness Trails Times that I have skied there: Several times I last skied there in: Jan, 2003 Trails that I skied: "seven bridges", Quechee gorge, polo field My favorite trails: Seven Bridges Trail marking: Very good Trail grooming: Fair Rating: 4 stars What I liked: Skiing both the gorge and Seven Bridges is wonderful: both are fairly challenging, but the scenery is fantastic. Seven Bridges, winding through the woods back and forth across a creek that seems to never freeze, is particularly unique. What I disliked: A couple of places leading out of the "learning" area can get very very icy and (since are both steeply up, if short) can be difficult to climb. Comments: In addition to the warming cabin, there is an Inn that has a lovely dining area and fine meals. On weekends, the area can be quite crowded but I've found that most of the inn visitors stay close to the warming cabin and rarely see anyone out on seven bridges or in the gorge.
