Trails: Madelaine Trail in the Northern Highland-American Legion State Forest has 15 km (9 miles) of trails that are groomed for cross-country skiing. An outer 9 km trails encompasses five inner loops. All the trails are rated Intermediate, except for a couple Expert hills.
Trail fees: State Trail pass for each skier aged 16 or older

Location of trails: The Madelaine Trail is a couple miles east of Woodruff. Take Highway 47 for 1 mile southeast and turn east on Townline Rd, go 1 mile, turn north on Rudolph Road, then look for the parking lot on the east side of the road.
