Trails: At the recently opened Governor Thompson State Park, 10 km (6 miles) of trails are groomed for cross-country skiing (classic and skating). The park occupies the land of the former Paust Resort.
Another 8 km (5 miles) of trails are groomed at Peshtigo State Forest, west of Crivitz. Five km of trails along the Peshtigo River are rated Easy, the others are Intermediate and Difficult.
