Trails: Hoffman Hills State Recreation Area has 13 km (8 miles) of trails that are groomed for cross-country skiing (classic and skate techniques). Approximately 20% of the trails are rated Easiest, 35% More Difficult, and 45% Most Difficult.

Likes and dislikes: Beautiful scenery. Short, easy beginners loop, otherwise lots of challenging hills. Hoffman "Hills" -- get it? Great training for Birkie! Never crowded.
