Trails: Blackwater Falls State Park offers 16 km (10 miles) of trails for cross-country skiing, most of which are groomed. A few of the trails skirt the rim of the Blackwater River canyon and offer views of the 50-foot falls. Another 10 miles of ungroomed trails can be used for snowshoeing.

Trail grooming: Very good

What I liked: Scenery was beautiful, trails marked well, groomed well, plus plenty of opportunities to go off the groomed track into fresh snow. There is a trail fee, I believe it was approximately $5 and they have rentals.
