Trails: At Pahaska Tepee Resort 25 km (15 miles) of trails are groomed for cross-country skiing (classic and skating) by the Park County Nordic Ski Association. One trail follows the unplowed highway west to Yellowstone National Park. There are also several backcountry trails nearby and in the park.

Location of trails: Pahaska Tepee Resortt is just east of Yellowstone National Park, about 50 miles west of Cody, Wyoming, on US-14/16/20. The trail can also be accessed at at Sleeping Giant Ski Area, about a mile east of Pahaska. The highway is not plowed in winter west of Pahaska through the park.

What I liked: Trails are for beginner to advanced skiers-hills and flats, beautiful forest scenery with an occasional moose, trails join to other trails in Yellowstone National Park.
What I disliked: Sometimes the moose walk on the trails!
Comments: Nearby is Pahaska Tepee and Sleeping Giant Downhill Ski/Snowboard area. The city of Cody is nearby with attractions such as Buffalo Bill Historical Center, dining and lodging.
