Trails: In Grand Teton National Park 65 km (40 miles) of ungroomed trails and unplowed roads are available for cross-country skiing. The trails may not be marked so take plenty of precautions to avoid getting lost. Trails at four separate locations are described in the park's skiing brochure, ranging from Easy to Most Difficult: Moose-Wilson Road, Teton Park Road from Taggart Lake to Signal Mountain (may possibly be groomed), Colter Bay and Flagg Ranch. Unplowed roads may be used by snowmobiles. Guided backcountry tours in the Grand Tetons are available through Rendezvous Backcountry Tours and Jackson Hole Resort.
Caution: Check avalanche conditions before venturing into mountainous backcountry terrain and follow wilderness safety precautions.

Location of trails: Two entrances to Grand Teton National Park are open in winter: the south entrance of the park (about 12 miles north of Jackson) and the east entrance near Moran. The road from the north entrance through Yellowstone National Park is closed in winter. The Moose-Wilson Road Access from Teton Village to the south entrance of the park is also closed (and used for skiing). Check the WY DOT Road Conditions before driving.
